Subject: papers or sponsor |
| I have a friend from Uganda who needs a sponsor. She currently is without papers and due to this she has been severely exploited by her employer and she will not leave this job until she can secure another. She has no days off, when she gets paid it is weeks late and sometimes only receives half. Please help me to help her to find a sponsor or appropriate method to work in the US without enduring this type of exploitation. I do not have the finances nor opportunities to sponsor her. Sincerely, Gloria Larravide |

Subject: 2007 conference |
| I attended the conference on November 16 & 17. I promised to give feedback online, but I can't find the response form. So, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the conference and thought the panels were extremely helpful in giving me a context for some of the issues that African immigrants and refugees face. Thank you for putting together such a thoughtful schedule. I felt like I met several people who will be helpful contacts for the future. Thanks again!
